To help <\/strong>a photographer bring a project that blends the two disciplines to fruition.<br \/>This fall, La Villa P\u00e9rochon is presenting a group exhibition titled <strong>V\u00c9G\u00c9TAL<\/strong>, featuring two award winners: <strong>Jordan Beal\u2014 <\/strong>the 2025 winner for his series <em>*Deliciosa*<\/em> \u2014and <strong>Ana\u00efs Tondeur<\/strong> \u2014the 2023 winner for her series <em>*Fleurs de feux<\/em>*. From graphic patterns in the corner of a page to<em> urban jungles, more than <\/em>just an ornamental plant, it seems to have established itself as a symbolic plant whose visual saturation\u2014suspended above the ground\u2014appears to evoke a certain <em>longing for nature<\/em>.<br \/>In 1693, botanist Charles Plumier identified a plant of the <em>Monstera<\/em> genus <em>(Monstera adansoni)<\/em> in Martinique for the first time. In the 19th century, <em>Monstera deliciosa<\/em>, \u201cdiscovered\u201d in Central America, found its way into European greenhouses as a symbol of exoticism and prestige. Three centuries later, the initial drive to catalog and capture has given way to a drive toward mass production. Thousands of monstera plants are propagated and exported from European greenhouses, while communities of collectors continue the legacy of the first botanists, seeking out \u201cthe rarest and most curious\u201d that nature can produce, all while fostering the creation of greater diversity.    <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-container
