Les courants de lumi\u00e8re<\/em> tells the story of the promising role played by brown algae in sequestering carbon for thousands of years on the ocean floor. Through plastic gestures – immersion, inks, superimpositions, varnishes – Sarah Braeck reveals the circulation of carbon between air and sea. Each image becomes a stratum, a fragment of a visual and biological narrative. Fucoidan, the key molecule in this cycle, becomes perceptible in the light. Each unique work deploys a pictorial aesthetic based on scientific study. This tale has been exhibited at the Photoclimat 2023 Biennial (Paris), the PhotoSaintGermain festival (Paris) and the Bremen House of Science (Germany). <\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

This exhibition is presented as part of the Arts en S\u00e8vre<\/strong> itinerary, with the support of the City of Niort.Au gr\u00e9 de l’eau, the 2025 edition of Arts en S\u00e8vre features exhibitions and installations at various locations in the city, with nature as a common thread.
